Garden Party…

Yes, a garden. We believe here at the mission in good clean fun. (dirt).  We are breaking ground on a vegetable garden.  As you know, it isn’t easy growing veggies in Oregon’s moist cool climate, but we are going to give it a try. We have started the garden by breaking out the sod, and have dug a compost pit. We have the seeds and are waiting to plant this when it warms up this Spring.  We intend crops of broccoli, carrots, kale, spinach, lettuce, onions, potatoes, and possibly cherry tomatoes, and of course kiwis around the back.  The LORD has gifted us with beautiful, black...

A Chicken Coop?!?

We have a new garden in the process of being planted. Also, if you look around back behind the furniture barn, you will see a interesting looking building on stilts. That is our new chicken coop. We have a really talented guest named Steve, that has taken it upon himself to lead building it. One of our past guests suggested that we needed chickens a few months back, (he liked eggs) and we have been praying for it to all come together ever since. Congratulations Bryan

CONGRATULATIONS BRYAN!! Bryan just finished the New Harvest Program and was able to get his drivers license, birth certificate and Social Security card. The Brookings Outreach Gospel Mission seeks to be a resource for our community and are willing to help whenever and however we are equipped. We do have some limitations, but we will always strive to serve not only for Christmas but throughout the year.
